Q: What inspired your spring 2013 collection?
A: My spring collection was inspired by surrealism. I played with illusions and unique combinations of fabrics, textures and colors to create dream-like prints that are photorealistic.

Q: What is your spring must-have?
A: I love the luminescent silver python-embossed pencil skirt. It's sexy and eye-catching - you are bound to have a good time in this number!

Q: Which colors does every girl need in her spring wardrobe?
A: Every girl needs a balance of brights and neutrals. You will definitely see pops of neon worn with a base palette of black and white this spring. After a long winter, who can resist the allure of neon to celebrate spring?

Q: What excites you most about your spring collection?
A: I love the use of unexpected fabrics and textures. There are bold and captivating pieces, such as the power-stretch dress with mesh and reflective tape detail and the pearlized organza zip-up hoodie, both of which are new to Milly. I am eager to see how the brand continues to grow after this collection debuts!

Q: What do you love about spring in NYC?
A: Spring is the perfect time to explore new areas of NYC! I also love spending spring days at the playground with my family, having a picnic in Central Park and going to the zoo. The days are longer, too, which means more time to play.

Q: What was your inspiration for spring handbags?
A: For spring, I wanted to create a handbag collection that was luxurious, sporty and fun. The colors are vibrant and will complete any outfit. A burst of color punches up every look.

Q: Why did you decide to add handbags to the Milly collection?
A: No outfit is complete without a fabulous handbag, so creating a Milly handbag collection was a no-brainer! After working at Hermes, I became obsessed with how bags can transform a look. The appearance and feel of beautiful leather, and the form and function of a great bag is something that every girl craves.

Q: What are Michelle's go-to handbags this season and what would she wear them with?
A: For spring, I love the Sydney Whipstitch Tote, since you can style it with any outfit. It's luxe and elegant - the perfect combo! Given its size, you are bound to find my tote filled with Milly accessories. I always have a Milly iphone case, wallet and cosmetic case (for makeup emergencies). I also can't wait to carry the Kiera Tweed Clutch. It's vibrant and unique, making it the ultimate spring clutch for nights out on the town. Q: Any idea what you will gift your husband for Valentine's Day?
A: I typically leave for Paris the day after the fashion show, and since the FW '13 show is the day before Valentine's Day, maybe this year I will bring Andy with me. He always stays behind with the kiddies, but I'm thinking this year we can go on a couples retreat as a Valentine's Day gift to one another!

Q: Any trips planned this spring?
A:I'm going to Japan at the end of March, and I couldn't be more excited! I love the rush of being in a new city, and I can't wait to experience an unfamiliar culture. I also love sushi, so I'm looking forward to having the real deal!
